BORA — Bringing Back Our Rare Animals
This video was produced for BORA — Bringing Back Our Rare Animals, documenting their urgent conservation work to prevent the extinction of some of Malaysia’s rarest wildlife species.
The video highlights BORA’s approach to species recovery, where conservation goes beyond awareness, law enforcement, and protected areas. For critically threatened species such as the Malayan seladang, Malayan tiger, and Bornean banteng, active intervention is needed to stabilise populations, increase birth rates, and strengthen genetic diversity.
Through this work, the video communicates BORA’s mission to shift the wildlife conservation paradigm from basic protection towards targeted, professional management. Their approach looks at the long-term survival of species through population recovery, breeding, genetics, cells, and molecular-level conservation work.
Alongside the video, I was also involved in supporting BORA’s rebranding, helping align their visual and communication identity with their renewed focus on rare species recovery and science-based conservation.
