A documentary series highlighting the work of Topinai Ningkokoton Kuburuon Kampung (TONIBUNG), a community-based organisation providing marginalised rural communities across Malaysia with access to affordable, reliable, and clean renewable energy.

The project captures TONIBUNG’s grassroots approach to energy access—where solutions are built through trust, collaboration, and deep community participation. In remote villages, renewable energy becomes a catalyst for everyday change, improving safety, education, communication, and livelihoods.

Rather than framing communities as passive recipients, the series centres them as active participants in shaping and sustaining their own energy systems.

The films have been showcased at a United Nations conference, bringing rural Malaysian perspectives into global conversations on energy equity and climate justice. One of the videos was also recognised as a 2023 .ORG Impact Awards Winner.
